This CHL Online Safety Course has been designed to prepare you for carrying a concealed handgun in the State of Oregon, and also covers all online training requirements for Permit to Purchase (PTP). A Firearm is Only as Safe as the Person Carrying it
You must apply for a concealed handgun license in the county in which you reside. Be a U.S. citizen or a legal alien who can document continuous residency in the United States for at least six months and who has declared, in writing, to the INS the intent to acquire citizenship (Form N300). Be at least 21 years of age.
All applications for all CHLs will be submitted through a secure third party software called Permit Direct by Permitium. This means that you can fill out the application from your computer or smartphone 24 hours a day.
