Player versus Player is an optional mode in which players can damage and kill each other, either alone or as part of a team. This is done by enabling the PvP option in Multiplayer mode, by clicking on the swords in the upper right corner of the Inventory screen.
Movement speed is one of the player's stats and affects how quickly they can travel around. Many features can affect movement speed, such as Movement Accessories , Wings , Mounts , Minecarts and Liquids , along with certain Buffs , Debuffs , Armor and other hazards such as Ice Blocks and Cobwebs .
In order for two players to be able to damage each other, both of them must have PvP mode (the crossed swords icon) enabled: a player with PvP disabled won't be able to attack one with PvP enabled and vice versa.
Start by building basic shelter, then dig for ore and other resources. Discover and craft over 500 weapons of magic, ranged, melee and summon varieties, as well as armor, and use them to battle hundreds of different enemies. Soon you'll be going head-to-head with any of a dozen enormous bosses.
Nope, damage doesn't scale, just health. I managed to find the scaling code, so here's how it works in image form: http://i.imgur.com/xYKdarq.jpg. It counts the number of players, starts the scaling at 0.35, or 35%. So the second player will add 35%, then increase num6 by (1.0 - 0.35) / 3 = 21.6%.
