16 Σεπ 2018 · How To Make Caramelized Pears. In a large skillet set over high heat, melt the butter. Add the pears to the pan, cut side down. Cook them over a high heat until they start to brown, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and let them continue to cook for a further 5 minutes or so.
30 Ιουν 2023 · In a large skillet, combine brown sugar, butter and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally, 4-5 minutes. Add pears; cook and stir until pears are tender, 5-10 minutes longer. Serve over ice cream if desired.

Peel the pears and then cut them in half, leaving the stems on if possible. Scoop out the centre seeds with a melon baller.
