If you are having players connect to your external IP, your external IP can change if you do not have a static IP from your internet service provider. Use a tool such as WanIP to periodically check on the external IP address.

21 Ιαν 2023 · You can assign a static IP address from within Windows, or you can set a static IP address via your router. In this case, it is better to assign the static IP using your router , since you'll need to access your router to do some port forwarding anyway.
You'll need to purchase a domain or use a free service such as no-ip or dyndns, from there just change it's A-Record to match that of your server (Your external IP). Totally ninja'd :sad.gif:

As long as you're running your server on your own PC, your friends will need your network's IP address to connect. You can technically change it, but it will always lead to your computer. If you don't want players to know your IP address, you'll have to host the server somewhere outside of your local network.
