Unpublished interviews and personal communications (such as face-to-face or telephone conversations, letters, emails, or text messages) are best cited in-text or in notes rather than in the bibliography. Published interviews should be cited like periodical articles or book chapters.

19 Μαΐ 2014 · Personal Interviews. Personal interviews refer to those interviews that you conduct yourself. List the interview by the name of the interviewee. Include the descriptor Personal interview and the date of the interview.
15 Οκτ 2024 · If you cite a personal interview in a paper, simply use an in-text citation. Example (J. Doe, personal communication, December 16, 2019).-or-(Personal communication, December 16, 2019). Note: If you are citing a published interview, follow the format for the appropriate reference type: book, audio recording, YouTube video, etc.
17 Σεπ 2024 · Put the in-text citation right after a quote or paraphrased content from the interview or email. Format: "Quote from interview goes here" (F. M. Lastname, personal communication, Month Date, Year).
8 Αυγ 2019 · Citing a personal interview in MLA To cite an interview that you conducted yourself, start the Works Cited entry with the name of the interviewee. Then simply describe it with the word “Interview,” followed by your own name (or “the author”) and the date on which the interview took place.
