14 Ιουλ 2024 · If you hear your window AC unit turning on but can't feel air blowing out of it, it likely has a faulty fan motor. If there is a small amount of air blowing from the unit, this could be due to restricted airflow from a dirty filter, blocked air intake, or a bent or broken fan blade.

Carefully and thoroughly wrap the fan motor, electrical control box and electrical terminals in aluminum foil to protect them from water (some manufacturers recommend plastic wrap, but we have found that plastic wrap can come loose). Clean the base, condenser coil, evaporator coil and condensate pan with a steady stream of water from a hose.
