A clogged AC drain line can result in a complete system failure, so we’re here to help you understand how to keep the line clean and what to do if you suspect a clog. To find the condensate line, look for a pipe (often PVC) that drains outside by your air conditioning system.
To unclog an AC drain line, turn off the power to the unit. Locate the drain line and use a wet/dry vacuum to suck out the clog. Flush the line with water using a garden hose or cup of water. Check and clean the drain pan under the indoor unit. Ensure water flows freely through the line.
