If water is not coming out of your AC drain pipe, it could be due to a clogged drain line, a blocked drain pan, improper drain line slope, frozen evaporator coils, disconnections or damage to the drain pipe, or a malfunctioning or clogged condensate pump.
Step 1. Disconnect the air conditioner from electrical power by turning off the breaker and the thermostat. Always disconnect electrical appliances from power if you want to clean them or make any repairs. Step 2. Find the drain line; it is usually a pipe running out from the inside unit and is close to the condensing unit outside the house.
