21 Μαρ 2018 · Selecting a column or a number of cells within a table only gives you the total document word count, and not just the text in those cells. Yes, I could cut and paste all the text to a different document and count it that way, but there should be an easier fix.
Word can insert the word count into your document and update that information as often as you want. Select in your document where you want the word count to appear. Go to Insert > Quick Parts > Field. In the Field names list, select NumWords, and then select OK.
