3 Σεπ 2016 · Dumping "PS2 BIOS" is simple, actually. No crossover or additional PC software needed. Remove or disable modchips, otherwise you will get a wrong/corrupted BIOS dump. You just need to buy a FMCB (Free MC Boot) memory card from ebay or somewhere (or install it using other method) and a usb stick.
11 Νοε 2024 · Preparatory Steps. Format the USB Drive. Format the USB drive to FAT32 to ensure it can be read by the PS2. Copy the necessary files (uLaunchELF and BIOS dumper ELF) to the USB drive. Setting Up the Memory Card. Install Free McBoot on your PS2 memory card if you haven’t already.
Put the biosdrain.elf file onto a FAT32 (or exFAT!) formatted USB drive. In uLaunchELF, navigate to mass: and execute the biosdrain.elf file you just transferred. biosdrain should automatically detect a USB drive, and dump the files to the root of the USB drive.

5 Ιαν 2017 · I've looked onto forums where I can do it from a USB by extracting the .elf files from the .iso's and such but I keep seeing that I have to do this to do this and so forth. I would like to know the whole process on what I need to do to dump a bios file from a console using only a USB drive.
10 Οκτ 2015 · This requires a modded PS2, and remember, if you have a modchip, you will need to disable it or the dumping procedure may not work. Then you can use your PS2 bios dump and use it in your favorite PS2 emulator, i.e. PCSX2.
