On the main menu, your friend goes into Social, then "Find SHIFT Friends" and types your Shift name into the search bar and confirms, it will then bring up your profile tab, your friend clicks on it and clicks "Send Friend Request".

1 Ιουν 2022 · I can’t add friend or accept friend requests from my friend via shift (they’re playing on the egs version). I used to be able to accept and send friend request with no problem. This is the first time I’m experiencing it.
The SHiFT friends system is scuffed either way and Gearbox has no intention of fixing it. They're even shutting down the official forums now so this should give you an indication of their priorities.
From either the Main Menu or In-Game Pause Menu, go to the Social menu. Tab over to the SHiFT Menu. If you already have an account associated, you will be brought to the Key Entry or Rewards page. Otherwise you will be brought to the Sign In / New Account page instead. Select New Account.
