Preliminary applications will only be accepted through DCA's Applicant Portal. Once the wait lists open, the portal will be available 24 hours per day until the wait lists close.
25 Σεπ 2024 · The Housing Choice Voucher Program, also known as Section 8, is part of Georgia's comprehensive housing program administered by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA). The program is funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
How to apply for Section 8 housing. To apply for a Section 8 housing choice voucher: Contact your local public housing agency to apply for a housing choice voucher or check the status of your application. If you need help, contact your local HUD office.
Eligible individuals must apply by completing an ONLINE pre-application at www.dekalbhousing.org during the Waiting List open application period.
To apply during the opening period, complete the online application in English here, and in Spanish here. Preferences have not yet been confirmed. It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
