24 Οκτ 2024 · In 1821, Michael Faraday built a simple homopolar motor using a battery, a magnet, and wire, which paved the way for the modern electric motor. With the same materials, you can build your own homopolar motor and try some experiments to watch physics at work!
1 Οκτ 2024 · In this video, we show you how to make a simple electric motor using easy-to-find materials. We'll use a AA battery, a piece of tin wire, and a neodymium mag...
Let's make an electric motor that spins using neodymium magnets and wire. This shows how an electric current is converted into motion. We’re building a primitive brushless DC motor.
Electric motors work by taking advantage of the interaction of magnetic fields and current-carrying conductors. In this science project, you will build what might be the world's simplest motor. The motor has four parts: a battery, a piece of copper wire, a small screwdriver, and neodymium magnets.
Follow the simple directions to build an electric motor, then investigate how a few simple changes to the magnets in the motor can greatly effect the motor's rotation speed.
