If you do not have much room above your coop door, or you need the door opener to sit much higher than the door, you may want to set up a pulley system.
I'm looking for advice on how to make a pulley system and counterweight to aid in opening the door. We're currently using a piece of plexiglass for the door. I can upload a pic once I'm home.
How to make a pulley system to close a door
3 Αυγ 2023 · Cut a rectangular hole in the wall (9-12″ wide by 10-14″ high) between two studs. Cut a plywood door piece to be larger than your hole (2″ to either side and taller) and build a slotting system on the wall’s exterior for the door to slide into. Create a pulley system to open/close the door.
