5 Απρ 2018 · Hi, wondering what the condition is of a used rear end that I want to swap out because it has the gears I'm looking for, 308 coming out, 355 going in. ( I'll post a short vid in a few.) I thought it was an open carrier because it's missing the springs but believe it's a posi because of how it turns.
This style limited-slip differential works by using a gerotor pump to hydraulically compress a clutch to transfer torque to the wheel that is rotating slower. The gerotor pump uses the differential carrier or cage to drive the outer rotor of the pump and one axle shaft to drive the inner rotor.
19 Σεπ 2016 · Limited slip differentials operate in a manner opposite an open system. When a limited slip diff senses that a wheel is spinning, it will automatically transmit more power to the wheel that has more traction. These differentials will not divert 100% of the power to one wheel though.
6 Μαρ 2012 · Can an open differential be converted to a limited slip differential in the same houseing? Does the existing open axle need any modifications? Just curious about what is involved since I'm sure I can get by with an 8" behind my 302 and C4.
