7 Δεκ 2020 · Combine the number of pellets and buffer and weigh on a scale. If it's an ounce and 1/4 combined, look for a 1 1/4 oz. load in your shot shell book. An ounce payload is an ounce payload. Velocity will be the same as well for an ounce of buck shot with buffer or an ounce of #8's without buffer.

6 Νοε 2007 · After 20 years of reloading buckshot, I would like to share my method. The problem with loading buckshot is that it does not work well in modern one piece plastic shot cups. The reason is that buckshot must stack in the shell a certain way.
29 Νοε 2018 · The problem: It takes a lot of time to accurately count out buckshot and place them into the shell. It costs a lot of fingers to inaccurately count and place them. The solution: An adjustable tube to count the pellets. A flask to quickly fill the tube. A guide to keep the two aligned repeatably.
28 Μαΐ 2018 · The Lead BBB and T shot out penetrate the lead BB shot by quite a bit and they have more pellets per shell than number 4 buck has. From KPY Shotshell Ballistic program. Lead BB shot at 1200 fps gets 3.70" of gel penetration at 40.8 yards with 89 pellets in 1-3/4 oz of shot.
29 Νοε 2018 · Using Remington Field grade buckshot, and federal wads or clones, you can make very good buckshot, for about 30 cents each (obvious caveat here about variety of choices affecting cost), which have optimal penetration and a lot better patterns.
