6 Νοε 2007 · I cast 00 and 000, both hard - wheelweight, and soft - pure lead. I've done the "Petals Off" thing when I want stacks of three 00 or anytime I load 000. Stack 00 by twos in a shotcup. Also played with cutting a wad to leave just the plastic overpowder wad, then using cork or felt cushion wad stack.
Easy if you have the mold and a smelter that'll melt it. A lot of little details you need to make sure you know; like which, if any, of your metals might be poisonous, and how to flux your pot and prepare your molds, but videos and guides are out there.
20 Μαρ 2020 · I found a buck shot load using Alliant Bluedot powder with the Winchester AA12R wad in winchester CF AA cases which I had on hand. Winchester has discontinued this wad but Claybuster offers the AA12R as a clone.
29 Νοε 2018 · Using Remington Field grade buckshot, and federal wads or clones, you can make very good buckshot, for about 30 cents each (obvious caveat here about variety of choices affecting cost), which have optimal penetration and a lot better patterns.
