The Large Raft is the largest boat in the game, superseding the Raft and the houseboat, and is useful if you are going for an island base since there is plenty of space to build log, rock and stick holders on the raft. You cannot sleep or save, unless you build a bed.
The Small Raft is a small boat that was added in update v0.02 to The Forest. The small raft will allow you to travel across water to different locations safely out of the reach of the cannibals. The raft sails faster than the houseboat and the Large raft and is far more agile than both.
The houseboat is the best to live on as you can build in and on it (although it is very limited and recommended to build a bed ASAP). The large raft is the best for storage but requires two people to operate it (multiplayer world). Imo the large raft is s waste as two house boats or a stationary base works better than the large raft.

It is possible to build fire inside without burning the House Boat. You are not able to save your progress and sleep through the night in this shelter. The House Boat offers protection from sharks and cannibals when traveling on the water.
12 Ιουν 2016 · just build a water collector near the entrance along the walls and you can then jump onto that and from there onto the roof. and that is just one method. racks can be build inside the boat aswell. you cannot expand the boat anymore with custom stairs. they removed that long ago.
