To do this: Hold the tubing between your thumb and index finger at a point where the tubing exits the skin. Squeeze your fingers together to pinch off the tubing.
Milking the Drains To keep the drains and tubing from clogging, you’ll need to milk the drains. You should do this before you open the bulb plug to empty and measure the collected fluid. You should also do this if you notice fluid leaking around the insertion site or if you see clots in the tubing.
