Turn on your product. Make sure the power light is on, but not flashing. If you see a message on the LCD screen telling you to reset the ink levels, note the ink tanks that need refilling and press the OK button. Otherwise, select Setup > Maintenance > Reset Ink Levels and press the start button.
Epson recommends the use of genuine Epson ink bottles. Be careful not to spill any ink. Check the upper line (a) in the ink tank. Align the top of the ink bottle with the filling port, and then insert it straight into the port to fill ink until it stops automatically at the upper line.
Position the top of the ink bottle along the slot in front of the filling port, then slowly stand the bottle up to insert it. Note: Do not force the bottles into position; they are keyed for each color. Wait for the ink to fill the tank. Do not squeeze the bottle.
Open the scanner unit with the document cover closed. Open the ink tank cap. While holding the ink bottle upright, turn the cap slowly to remove it. Important: Epson recommends the use of genuine Epson ink bottles. Be careful not to spill any ink. Do not touch the top of the ink bottle after removing the cap; otherwise you may be smeared with ink.
