Assassin is a gamemode that was introduced to Murder Mystery 2 on February 2nd, 2017. It was heavily influenced by another popular Roblox game at the time called Assassin!. Everyone is given a target to eliminate when a round begins.
The game features three modes: Casual, Hardcore, and Assassin. These modes can be switched at any time by the user. The sheriff is the only player that spawns with a gun, which they can use to protect the innocents.

Gamemodes, also known as "Modes", are an optional way to play the game. As of now, there are three different game modes, those being Standard, Disguises, and Assassin. These modes can be switched by the player at any given time, and all the player’s data will be transferred.
