31 Ιαν 2019 · Looking for tips on removing the side cabinet decal on a modern Stern LCD game like Aerosmith. Obviously the cabinet is painted from the factory under the decal so don't want to sand the cabinet to remove it - any tips on getting off the decal and residual adhesive?
There will be sections on decal repair, building an entire cab from scratch, commercially produced stencils, Frisket repairs, clearcoating, water damage....but it will take a while. I started this guide with replacing large chunks of missing wood, because I had someone ask about it, and I had photos of just such a repair on my phone.
1. Leave the art as-is, and save the decals for the next owner, to take the art issue off the table? 2. Try to strip the decals and replace them? Maybe because it’s new, the decals would come off with minimal fuss and residue (no sanding needed?)
