Refill the ink tank with the correct color ink up to the upper line on the ink tank. If any ink remains in the ink bottle after filling the ink tank, place the bottle cap tip securely on the bottle cap and store the ink bottle upright for later use. Replace the ink tank cap securely.

When the ink level is below the lowest line on the ink tank, you need to refill it. Periodically check the ink tank to see if it needs to be refilled. Before checking the ink level or refilling an ink tank as described here, be sure to read the ink safety precautions.
Epson recommends the use of genuine Epson ink bottles. Be careful not to spill any ink. Check the upper line (a) in the ink tank. Align the top of the ink bottle with the filling port, and then insert it straight into the port to fill ink until it stops automatically at the upper line.
