25 Μαΐ 2017 · Replacing starter solenoid. 05-25-2017, 07:36 PM. My 20 amp fuse kept blowing. After inspection, I noticed a lot of corrosion and rust on solenoid. I decided to replace. The two little switch wires are a closed circuit when tested after being removed. The two large terminals remain an open circuit, after removal.
Measure resistance between the starter positive (+) cable terminal and the positive battery (+) cable terminal. The solenoid must close with an audible click. Meter must show continuity (low reading). If meter shows no continuity (high reading), replace the solenoid.
11 Απρ 2022 · I have a (2006) Yamaha 90 horse 2 stroke. I may or may not have shorted something. Symptoms, starter relay does fast clicking when trying to start, almost like it’s tripping. When disconnecting starter from power the relay operates properly.
22 Νοε 2005 · It could be possible that this solenoid is malfunctioning, but I am not sure if they are prone to trouble. Typically, choke (or fuel enrichment circuits) are rather large orifices and do not plug very readily. Instead, I might suggest to review your starting technique.
