Tip 1. – Don’t Learn To Jump/Beach Start. Jump, or beach starts, are where the skier will stand about knee-deep in the water with a few coils of rope along with the handle. The boat accelerates, picking up all the slack and giving a huge jolt as the rope tightens, and launches the skier forwards.
