You can make a DOS boot floppy from Windows XP, but it might not be able to access your hard disk, so that's no good if your BIOS image doesn't fit on a floppy. The standard tool for BIOS upgrades (or downgrades, it's the same thing anyway) is FreeDOS .
11 Δεκ 2009 · You can boot into Safe Mode with a Command Prompt. Not quite the same, but you're loading the absolute minimum windows needs to run. Unlike Windows 98, XP+ are completely seperate kernels that no longer run on top of DOS, so this behaviour is no longer possible.
