How do you calculate logarithmic equations? To solve a logarithmic equations use the esxponents rules to isolate logarithmic expressions with the same base. Set the arguments equal to each other, solve the equation and check your answer.
This topic introduces logarithms and exponential equations. Logarithms are used to solve exponential equations, and so are used along with exponential functions when modelling growth and decay. The logarithmic function is an important mathematical function and you will meet it again if you study calculus.
Logarithms with base 10 are called common logarithms. When the base is not indicated, base 10 is implied. common (or base 10) logarithm.
