26 Απρ 2004 · Compared with the FN, the Howa was less than totally serious, we thought, more of a plain .308 with a heavy barrel. We liked the FN’s McMillan stock better than the HS Precision stock fitted to the previously tested FN.
28 Νοε 2017 · Yes, a few. The group above was shot with a custom Howa 1500 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and shot at 100 yards with factory Sig Sauer 140 Sierra MatchKing ammunition. I’m happy with it! This is one of my favorite, a 21″ 308 Winchester.
29 Σεπ 2023 · It’s not too heavy that you wouldn’t want to carry it into the backcountry on a hunting trip, and it’s not too light that .308 recoil begins to cause the shooter to flinch. I did add a magnum sized suppressor to the end of my 24 inch Howa 1500 barrel during testing.
2 Μαΐ 2023 · The Alpine Mountain came with a 20in lightweight barrel, a Scout version (in .308 Win) with an 18½in barrel, and the H-S Precision had a 26in barrel. Both blued and stainless-steel barrel options are available.
22 Δεκ 2020 · The barrel is fairly heavy (.825″ at the muzzle) and 24″ long (my preferred length for .308 rifles). The barrel also was tapped mid way up the barrel for long tube scopes (unertl target scopes, etc) and something you don’t see on many rifles.
