This 5 rounds .308 Win. magazine is suitable for the Howa 1500 which is equipped with a floor plate (for external magazine use).
This conversion is compatible with any rifle that uses the Howa 1500 action and trigger guard, including the Weatherby Vanguard, Mossberg 1500 and Smith & Wesson 1500 rifles. This kit comes complete with (1) 10 Round magazine that fits and feeds ammunition in 243 Win, 7mm-08 Rem or 308 Win.

13 Δεκ 2008 · The Howa kit from Brownells is about $48 for the polymer bottom metal and around $45 for a 308 10 round mag. That is quite inexpensive, but for the money, I think it is a decent value. Other bottom metal is over twice that much, to as much as four times the cost.
This detachable magazine kit is easy to install and drop-in ready, so conversion can be made in a matter of minutes at home. Instructions are included with each kit which includes one polymer magazine and a conversion trigger guard.
