9 Ιαν 2013 · Carr was involved in a lawsuit with WRKO in 2007 when he announced his intention to accept an offer from WTKK and move his program to that station. He lost that lawsuit because of a right-of-first-refusal in his contract with WRKO, as Michael Rosen explained here and here .
26 Οκτ 2007 · Howie Carr wants to leave WRKO and work for WTKK. However, his contract with WRKO gave WRKO the right to match the offer made by WTKK, and WRKO did match WTKK’s five year, $7 million offer. Carr filed suit, claiming that this provision of the contract is unenforceable under Massachusetts law.
Carr's contract with WRKO expired in September 2014 and he moved to WMEX on November 17, 2014. [11] In March 2015, he returned to WRKO, broadcasting from the Armstrong Advisory Group headquarters on Station Street in Needham, Massachusetts , but with the station being an affiliate instead of his employer. [ 12 ]
15 Νοε 2014 · Update 11/15: Carr has made his move to 1510 official and will debut on Monday, November 17 from 3-7pm. Ken Carberry, owner of affiliate 830 WCRN Worcester will handle distribution. All other affiliates carrying the program will retain the show.
