14 Ιουλ 2021 · I get a message of No Audio Output Device Installed with a red X on the speaker icon, and I can't use my microphone or speaker when this happens. I did try the Windows Troubleshooters, HP Diagnostics, and even tried reinstalling the drivers, but to no avail.
An outdated audio driver can cause sound errors and issues. Use Device Manager to check if the audio device is disabled, and then install an available driver update.

29 Νοε 2010 · I'm on a fresh install (not an upgrade) of Windows 7 32 bit. I know my soundcard works (it works with a Ubuntu Live CD), but in Windows, no matter what speakers/headphones I plug into the computer, it always tells me "no audio output device detected".

21 Ιουλ 2024 · Search for the device driver that you want to download from the manufacturer’s website. Go to the drivers page, and select the latest correct version of your audio device, and compatible operating system (in my case it’s Windows 10 64-bit), and download it.
