3 Φεβ 2018 · Many HP Bios use 5 beeps to indicate memory problems. I would try reseating memory first and if that does not work, remove one memory bank at a time. You can also try to get into the bios and run diagnostics as this might give you the answer as well.
I am getting this 5 beeps error randomly with any slots with any sticks. Did that error repeat for you after your update or was it fixed?
I've spent most of today trying to fix my bricked HP Z840. I did a firmware udpate as I saw the A.62 version just came out. The updated went through o.k., workstation rebooted a few times as one would expect, then a message (on the white background of the bios template): RAM issues...
