23 Ιαν 2017 · Best bang for your buck? Look elsewhere than SVS. HSU and Rythmik Audio both offer 12" drivers. Most other ID companies start at 15" or even 18". I always recommed dual subs. Dual LVR12s from Rythmik come in under budget. Or stretch the budget a little for LVX12s. http://www.rythmikaudio.com/products1.html. Reply Like.
8 Φεβ 2021 · I have both of these subs set up and figure I would do a brief comparison. To keep it fairish I did not use the built in dsp adjustments on the svs. I used lots of different music, different crossover points and different electronics.
Check out the reviews and measurements on audioholics: https://www.audioholics.com/subwoofer-reviews/svs-pb-1000-pro-sb-1000-pro. https://www.audioholics.com/subwoofer-reviews/hsu-vtf-2-mk5. HSU has a slightly better SPL and better group delay; the PB1000 may have some audible delay whereas the HSU wouldn't.
For consumer subs (not DIY), I still recommend SVS for entry level subs (just below 20Hz and under $600 USD). Once you get up to OPs requirements, mid-tier subs or higher, there may be better value propositions from other companies.
23 Ιαν 2017 · #1. Hello all, I'm new to the board and have a few questions for everyone about a few sub options... For starters I have a 12" Klipsch sw 112 that works fine, but leaves me asking for more!.. I was pretty much set on getting an SVS PB12 plus or PC12 plus.
23 Ιαν 2017 · The PB12 Plus is a bit higher end with a heavier cabinet build and nice piano gloss finish, but the Hsu subs will be more powerful. They should both be reliable subs, and the with standard SVS warranty and the Hsu extended warranty, you don't have to worry.
29 Μαΐ 2021 · Since you don't have an DSP then the SVS is the best choice. With the PB1000Pro you get 3-band Parametric EQ to knock down resonance peaks in your room, whereas with the LV12F you get 1-band. SVS also offers a phone APP that allows you control the volume, crossover, EQ, phase, etc. from your couch.
