Subwoofer: HSU VTF2-MK5 vs SVS PB-1000 Pro. Discussion. Based on the help here, I'm prioritizing upgrading my bass. Currently running an older 10" Sony Sub. Looks like both the PB-1000 PRO and VTF 2.5 are both well thought off. SVS is $120 more and I plan to buy two. Extra $240 is fine if it's worth it. Room is ~2380 cuft.

For consumer subs (not DIY), I still recommend SVS for entry level subs (just below 20Hz and under $600 USD). Once you get up to OPs requirements, mid-tier subs or higher, there may be better value propositions from other companies.
15 Ιουλ 2021 · Expert consensus seems to be dual smaller subs would be preferred to a single giant sub. I know the Hsu VTF-2 MK5 would be the obvious choice over the old SVS PB-1000, but the new PB-1000 Pro offers some significant upgrades. The app control is particularly compelling.
2 Σεπ 2019 · Let's look at the Hsu. It's a 350 watt 12 inch sub. He currently has a 300 watt 12 inch sub. The Hsu is definitely better, but in terms of raw output it's not going to be significantly louder in a manner that would overcome in a dead spot of a huge room.
