In fact, HSU offers some of the best performance subs for the money in the industry. Take, for example, two comparable subs, the VTF1 MK3 which you can get for about $400.
Subwoofer: HSU VTF2-MK5 vs SVS PB-1000 Pro. Discussion. Based on the help here, I'm prioritizing upgrading my bass. Currently running an older 10" Sony Sub. Looks like both the PB-1000 PRO and VTF 2.5 are both well thought off. SVS is $120 more and I plan to buy two. Extra $240 is fine if it's worth it. Room is ~2380 cuft.
23 Ιαν 2017 · Hsu VTF-3 MK5 HP or even the VTF-15H-MK2 will have much higher output per dollar, even if you upgrade the amp warranty to 5 years for $70. This would make Hsu VTF-3 MK5 HP $932 shipped and VTF-15H-MK2 $1108 shipped.
For consumer subs (not DIY), I still recommend SVS for entry level subs (just below 20Hz and under $600 USD). Once you get up to OPs requirements, mid-tier subs or higher, there may be better value propositions from other companies.

17 Ιαν 2009 · Hi, first post here, but I also was comparing these two subs, but I saw the price difference between the HSU VTF-3 MK 3 and SVS PB12-NSD as only $30. So if that is the case, and you were starting from scratch, would you get the HSU?
14 Δεκ 2019 · Both are great subs. The SB-3000 is smaller and has a much more sophisticated amplifier, but it has an uphill battle in matching the headroom of the ULS-15 due to the smaller driver. If you are worried about the ULS-15 mk2 being discontinued, you don't need to be.
