13 Οκτ 2024 · The bottom line is that HSU provides excellent value for money while SVS offers excellent value at a higher price point. In fact, HSU offers some of the best performance subs for the money in the industry. Take, for example, two comparable subs, the VTF1 MK3 which you can get for about $400.
For consumer subs (not DIY), I still recommend SVS for entry level subs (just below 20Hz and under $600 USD). Once you get up to OPs requirements, mid-tier subs or higher, there may be better value propositions from other companies.
23 Ιαν 2017 · SVS vs HSU Build Quality and Performance. Hello all, I'm new to the board and have a few questions for everyone about a few sub options... For starters I have a 12" Klipsch sw 112 that works fine, but leaves me asking for more!.. I was pretty much set on getting an SVS PB12 plus or PC12 plus.
The SVS has better delay/parametric EQ controls, which can be useful for room mode compensation and integrating multiple subwoofers (a future upgrade could be a miniDSP for even better integration, so it could be achieved with the HSUs as well).

With the PB1000Pro you get 3-band Parametric EQ to knock down resonance peaks in your room, whereas with the LV12F you get 1-band. SVS also offers a phone APP that allows you control the volume, crossover, EQ, phase, etc. from your couch.
