Subwoofer: HSU VTF2-MK5 vs SVS PB-1000 Pro. Discussion. Based on the help here, I'm prioritizing upgrading my bass. Currently running an older 10" Sony Sub. Looks like both the PB-1000 PRO and VTF 2.5 are both well thought off. SVS is $120 more and I plan to buy two. Extra $240 is fine if it's worth it. Room is ~2380 cuft.
For consumer subs (not DIY), I still recommend SVS for entry level subs (just below 20Hz and under $600 USD). Once you get up to OPs requirements, mid-tier subs or higher, there may be better value propositions from other companies.

I haven't compared them but the Hsu is (or can) a ported sub (with slightly more power) that will have more output than the other two. They are all decent subs, but I would go with the Hsu since you can try it both ways.
29 Μαΐ 2021 · Since you don't have an DSP then the SVS is the best choice. With the PB1000Pro you get 3-band Parametric EQ to knock down resonance peaks in your room, whereas with the LV12F you get 1-band. SVS also offers a phone APP that allows you control the volume, crossover, EQ, phase, etc. from your couch.

5 Ιουν 2013 · SVS vs HSU. I'm currently using a Velodyne DD12 that I'm borrowing from my brother while he builds a new theater. It sounds/feels really good, but I think my room (19x22) could really benefit from 2 subs. So I'm looking at getting another sub and was drawn to the SVS SB13-ULTRA.
