The SVS has better delay/parametric EQ controls, which can be useful for room mode compensation and integrating multiple subwoofers (a future upgrade could be a miniDSP for even better integration, so it could be achieved with the HSUs as well).
For consumer subs (not DIY), I still recommend SVS for entry level subs (just below 20Hz and under $600 USD). Once you get up to OPs requirements, mid-tier subs or higher, there may be better value propositions from other companies.

Mainly thinking of the Hsu vtf2 mk5, rythmik l12, svs sb 1000. I see These all recommended in various forums but I haven’t heard much from people who have Actually compared any of these popular recommendations. The Hsu appears to dig deepest, the rythmik has the servo tech, and others swear by svs.

With the PB1000Pro you get 3-band Parametric EQ to knock down resonance peaks in your room, whereas with the LV12F you get 1-band. SVS also offers a phone APP that allows you control the volume, crossover, EQ, phase, etc. from your couch.

22 Μαρ 2022 · Hsu has been around "forever" and SVS for quite a while; both are respected brands IME/IMO. My personal choice is Rythmik, partly because they use a servo design similar to the DIY servo sub I designed for myself back around 1980 or so.
