We'll never try this on a new Azure Windows 2022 VM that has the IIS role configured because we know it is already installed and if you look in add/remove programs, sure enough, the latest web hosting pack is already installed.
18 Νοε 2013 · Go to server manager, click add roles and features. In the roles section choose: Web Server. Under Security sub-section choose everything (I excluded digest, IP restrictions and URL authorization as we don't use them) Under Application Development choose .NET Extensibility 4.5, ASP.NET 4.5 and both ISAPI entries.
Before everyone reads this, I just want to say that i know that there are related threads out there, but I have either tried them or do not understand.
4 Μαρ 2019 · If you install the .NET Core Windows Hosting Bundle, but the AspNetCoreModule still doesn't appear on your applicationHost.config, you can try to do what I did to solve my problem, after trying all the other solutions on SO and other places.

19 Αυγ 2015 · It could be at server or website level. Try placing the following just below the tag in your web.config file. If you don't want to place the above entry then you can also try to find the duplicate entry in the higher level config files like applicationhost.config and remove it from there if it's not needed.

21 Μαΐ 2014 · Step 01: From Visual Studio Solution Explorer, Right click on your project and choose Open Folder in File Explorer. Step 02: Open .vs folder (Hidden Folder) and you will get 2 folder named config and another one is named as your_project_name/config. Step 03: Both config folder will contain a file named applicationhost.
14 Ιαν 2022 · Resolution. Use one of the following methods: Delete the malformed XML element from the ApplicationHost.config or Web.config file. Check the unidentified XML elements, and then install the relevant IIS modules. I installed IIS URL Rewrite module without a effect. My web.config comes with my build/deploy process.
