If we compare adult men to those born a century earlier, we see that the global mean height in men and women has increased by around ten centimeters (cm). We see this in the chart. The average young adult born recently is around ten centimeters, around 5%, taller than their ancestors 100 years ago.

26 Ιουλ 2016 · The height differential between the tallest and shortest populations was ~19 cm for men and ~20 cm for women a century ago, and has remained about the same for women and increased for men a century later despite substantial changes in the ranking of countries in terms of adult height.
