The Human Rights Council is an intergovernmental body within the United Nations system made up of 47 States responsible for the promotion and protection of all human rights around the globe.
11 Σεπ 2023 · Sessions. The Human Rights Council holds no fewer than three regular sessions a year, for a total of at least ten weeks. They take place in February-March, June-July and September-October. Sessions can be three, four or five weeks long, depending on the programme of work.

The Council investigates allegations of breaches of human rights in United Nations member states and addresses thematic human rights issues like freedom of association and assembly, [5] freedom of expression, [6] freedom of belief and religion, [7] women's rights, [8] LGBT rights, [9] and the rights of racial and ethnic minorities.
The users can produce overviews of recommendations by region, country, human rights themes, concerned groups and by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and targets, as well as to perform text searches and advanced searches by using filters.
