Tokaji Aszu (also known as Tokay) is a sweet wine made mostly from Furmint grapes grown in the Tokaj region. The Aszu grape variety is affected by noble rot (also known as Botrytis cinerea.) The noble rot shrivels the grapes and results in concentrated sugar levels, intense flavors, and rich aromas.
