Only matriculated Hunter College students can apply to the Generic Program. Admission to the School of Nursing is competitive. Generic Program and Accelerated 2nd Degree Program students must be able to attend during the day and evening on a full-time basis, including weekends.
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing: Generic Program - Designed for students to obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing over a traditional, four-year course of study. RN-to-BS Program - Designed for qualified individuals with an associate's degree in nursing and a NY State RN license who wish to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing.
The RN-to-BS program is open to individuals who already have an associate's degree in nursing and a New York State RN license. The program may be completed on a part-time or full-time basis. Admission to the program occurs in the fall and spring semesters.
The School offers accredited programs leading to the Master of Science (MS) and the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees. The School also offers a post-graduate advanced certificate program (Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner).
