Admission Requirements. Students are considered for admission to the nursing program in the spring semester of their freshman year after completing prerequisite course work and submitting an application to the School of Nursing. Only those admitted to the School of Nursing are allowed to declare nursing as their major.

Admission Requirements. A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (all undergraduate courses from all schools). Completion of a minimum of 36 credits in liberal arts & sciences. Earned associate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college, completing the equivalent of 24 credits in nursing.
Grade and GPA Requirements. Applicants to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program must earn a grade of C or above in all pre-nursing courses and have a cumulative college GPA of 2.5. Content on this page is provided as a quick reference for planning.
The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing's curricula meets New York State requirements for professional licensure and certification as determined by The State Education Department, Division of Professional Education, Professional Education Program Review, 89 Washington Avenue, 2nd Floor, West Wing, Albany, NY 12234.
Application Requirements. Admission to the nursing program is competitive. Each year, there are many students majoring in pre-nursing who meet the requirements to submit an application. 80 students are admitted per cohort. Cohorts begin in fall and spring semesters.
Attendance Requirements for Nursing. Generic Program and Accelerated 2nd Degree Program students complete coursework online. RN toBS Program students attend Nursing major coursework online, on a full-or a part-time basis. Grading Policy for Nursing Courses.
