Eligible applicants must meet all requirements below: Be admitted to Hunter College (lower division) as an undergraduate freshman or transfer student. You must be a matriculated student in the spring semester before entering the program the following fall.
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing: Generic Program - Designed for students to obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing over a traditional, four-year course of study. RN-to-BS Program - Designed for qualified individuals with an associate's degree in nursing and a NY State RN license who wish to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing.
Admission to the School of Nursing is competitive. Generic Program and Accelerated 2nd Degree Program students must be able to attend during the day and evening on a full-time basis, including weekends. All clinical assignments are made by the school faculty depending on site availability.
Admission Requirements. A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (all undergraduate courses from all schools). Completion of a minimum of 36 credits in liberal arts & sciences. Earned associate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college, completing the equivalent of 24 credits in nursing.
General Education Requirements: College Option/Hunter Focus. General Education Requirements - Fall 2001 to Spring 2013. Requirements for Graduation: Hunter Core and Major Field of Study. Professional and Pre-Professional Majors: BS, BFA, BSW and BMus Degrees.
