  1. Eligible applicants must meet all requirements below: Be admitted to Hunter College (lower division) as an undergraduate freshman or transfer student. You must be a matriculated student in the spring semester before entering the program the following fall.

  2. Admission Requirements. A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (all undergraduate courses from all schools). Completion of a minimum of 36 credits in liberal arts & sciences. Earned associate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college, completing the equivalent of 24 credits in nursing.

The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing's curricula meets New York State requirements for professional licensure and certification as determined by The State Education Department, Division of Professional Education, Professional Education Program Review, 89 Washington Avenue, 2nd Floor, West Wing, Albany, NY 12234.

  4. Admission to the School of Nursing is competitive. Generic Program and Accelerated 2nd Degree Program students must be able to attend during the day and evening on a full-time basis, including weekends. All clinical assignments are made by the school faculty depending on site availability.

  5. Major in Nursing BS at Hunter College. Credits required to complete this program: 51. A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required for courses in this Major. The courses listed within the black boxes are the requirements to complete the program you have selected.
