Join Triple C Outfitters for some of New Mexico's finest free range Barbary sheep hunting. Barbary sheep, also called Aoudad, are native to North Africa. As a result, they have adapted to survive in dry, rough, barren, and water scarce habitats.
High mountain elevations and drier desert habitats make for ideal Barbary sheep hunting conditions in this GMU. Hunters must be prepared to scale steep, rough, rocky terrain with an abundance of spiny cacti.
Barbary sheep hunting is yet another hunt that offers the true "mountain hunting" experience. Barbary sheep, or Aoudad, have amazing eye sight, and an uncanny ability to vanish. This makes for a fun filled hunt. These hunts are either ran out of a wall tent camp, or hotel in the nearest town.
