When the shut-off (preset “cut-out”) pressure is reached, the compressor automatically shuts off. If the compressor is left in the AUTO position and air is depleted from the tank by use of a tire chuck, tool, etc., the compressor will restart automatically at its preset “cut-in” pressure.
This procedure is required before the air compressor is put into service and when the check valve or a complete compressor pump has been replaced. 1 Make sure the Auto/Off switch (1) is in the “Off” position.
The air receiver pressure drops when the compressor shuts off. There is excessive moisture in the discharge air. The compressor continuously runs. The air output is lower than normal. Call an electrician. There is a lack of proper ventilation, or the room temperature is too high. Move the compressor to a well-ventilated area.
