10 Μαΐ 2022 · Hybrid is a technique that combines misuse-based and anomaly-based techniques [5]. The hybrid technique resolves the disadvantages of the two legacy IDSs. Research shows that hybrid detection systems have better performance compared to single IDS.
Hybrid IDS is based on the combination of SIDS and AIDS. A Hybrid IDS overcomes the disadvantage of SIDS and AIDS. Farid et al. (Farid et al., 2010) proposed hybrid IDS by using Naive Bayes and decision tree based and achieved detection rate of 99.63% on the KDD’99 dataset.
4 Φεβ 2019 · In this study, a hybrid and layered Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is proposed that uses a combination of different machine learning and feature selection techniques to provide high performance intrusion detection in different attack types.

6 Ιαν 2024 · In this paper, we conducted a chronological systematic review of hybrid intrusion detection systems covering all domains. In all, about 300 recent research articles were selected in the area but...
1 Μαΐ 2009 · In this paper we propose a hybrid IDS by combining the two approaches in one system. The hybrid IDS is obtained by combining packet header anomaly detection (PHAD) and network traffic anomaly detection (NETAD) which are anomaly-based IDSs with the misuse-based IDS Snort which is an open-source project.
15 Δεκ 2014 · In this paper, we propose a hybrid intrusion detection system that combines k-Means, and two classifiers: K-nearest neighbor and Naïve Bayes for anomaly detection.
