The hyenas in The Lion Guard share the physical features of spotted hyenas in the real world, but typically have gray fur with a pattern of darker markings on their shoulders and back, like wolves. They have darker muzzles, ears, and paws and lighter underbellies.
Jasiri is a fairly small and slim spotted hyena, though she displays strength when fighting Janja's clan. She has gray fur that bears a slight purplish tint. Her lower legs and paws are a very dark shade of purple, and her underbelly is a dull pinkish-orange.
